Inside a Huizhou 徽州 House
Maybe security isn’t really that high in the priorities of Xidi folk or maybe it is just those small town life that makes everything feel safe. Walking uninvited into someone else’s house is a bit of a taboo in modern culture, however this is something the Xidi people see everyday. Their homes are open to visitors everyday and I believe some of them actually take in visitors and let them stay over. Of course, getting them to buy stuff won’t be so bad.
