My friends and I were done visiting the village of Holašovice. It was a tiny place and if you are not that much of a history buff, like me, you should be done very quickly. We had a quick lunch at a local restaurant which I thought was okay. After that, we had a decision to make, either head back to Český Krumlov, or continue on and look for other places to see. We had a car and it was an easy decision. We decided to head to another place before we decide to head back. Our destination – Hluboká nad Vltavou. The process to arrive at that decision was only to look at Google Maps and find an interesting place to visit which isn’t too far.

Hluboká nad Vltavou is a surprisingly busy town. The drive took us further away from Český Krumlov but it didn’t really matter for us since we still had plenty of fuel. The main attraction here is an impressive looking chateau on top of a hill in the middle of town. But we first need to figure out where to leave the car. We went around the city center a few times to find a parking spot and eventually found one a little outside the main square, however, this also means that we will need to walk a bit to get to the chateau. Anyway, time to start walking!
