We didn’t linger too long at the Church of Saint Barbara at Kutná Hora. We basically took our photos and walked around church. While we weren’t exactly in a rush, we still needed to meet up with friends in Prague, so we can’t exactly waste too much time here. However, we still had just a bit more time to go to one last location which isn’t too far away – Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John the Baptist. At this point, we already knew that we can’t spend too much time here. The church didn’t look as popular as the Church of Saint Barbara, in fact, it looked almost abandoned.

This is surprising for a cathedral since they tend to have a lot of visitors regardless of whether there were tourists or not. The Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John the Baptist is yet another gothic church but it look anything as fancy as the previous church. This church has a tall central hall while the sides were much lower. Ordinarily, I would expect it to have flying buttresses to complete the look but this church doesn’t have much of it. There were a few of them but they weren’t as impressive as the one at Saint Barbara’s. Just like it, this cathedral is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
