Inside Padova Train Station
Inside Padova Train Station

I took a short train ride from Venice Mestre Station to the city of Padova or Padua. I don’t really know much about this city apart from one reference but I seems that this is another historical city, which can probably be said for a lot of cities and towns in Italy. Like most train stations in Europe the train station of Padua is modern in the inside but it looks old on the outside. Of course, the train station can’t be centuries old but they follow the designs aesthetics of old world architecture which Italy is known for.

Stepping outside the station, there is a large piazza where buses would be stopping for passengers. Obviously, this is the train station and a lot of passengers would be getting off here. Arriving passengers will also get on here. I had to look up my bus and it looks like there are several which stop here. It would be my first time taking a bus in Italy and I first observed how the system works. They access contactless payment which is very convenient for me since I didn’t have any cash with me. Along the way, I would keep my eye on maps to know where I should get off. The bus appears to be clean and safe. This is unlike some other places where buses tend to be rather sketchy.
