I have been driving most of the morning and I think I have not been very productive here. The Prosecco Road is an old wine road which is of course known for producing prosecco. I’m not a huge wine connoisseur to know much about wine but this area produces much of the prosecco loved the world over. However, even within these hills, there is still one place which is said to produce the very best grapes used to make prosecco and that it Cartizze. I was hoping to be able to have some sort of wine tasting but I was driving, so even if it just a sip, I will not even try it. First of all, it would be a waste of money and time to only have a sip in a wine tasting. Secondly, wine tastings aren’t cheap either.

I ended up going to a winery in the Cartizze region and bought some back, instantly making my backpack much heavier. Incidentally, the prosecco I got was from La Tordera which has Cartizze prosecco. Again, I am no expert in this but I thought that it was very good. You don’t have to take my word for it, my friends also liked it a lot. After buying the two bottles, I ended up going around a little bit more and found a little vineyard along the hills. I don’t even know where I was. There were no leaves since it was winter but it is these very vines which produces the prosecco I got. So where exactly is the Prosecco Hills? There isn’t on specific hill actually, but more an area. This is an area with a lot of hills, history and the finest prosecco you can get.
