I have spent several beautiful days going around the northeastern part of Italy. This was made more convenient by renting a car since the public transport network in that region can be a little patchy. Because of this, I was able to see a lot of places which I probably wouldn’t even have time to see had I needed to take public transportation. After wrapping up my visit to the Prosecco Hills, it was time to return the car. I was only too happy to return the car since renting it isn’t cheap. I drove back to the Venice Marco Polo Airport and returned the car. I was told that there was a small ding on it, which I have no idea of where it came from. My thinking is that a tiny rock must have flew and hit it. It’s that, or it has been there all along. Either way, that is why I paid for full coverage so I don’t have to pick a fight over whether I damaged the car or not.

That is not the end of my trip though, there is still more to see. This time I will be taking the train from here on. Strangely, enough Venice Marco Polo Airport isn’t connected to the train system. To get to the train station, one would take a bus. It was easy enough to find but I really think they should just connect it to the train network to make it more seamless. I’m no stranger to European trains but each country has their own system and I need to figure out how to purchase tickets from the kiosk. Of course, going to the counter would be easier but it is more fun this way. While I was trying to buy the ticket, there was a helpful person who was trying to tell me what to do. However, I got suspicious and just moved to a different kiosk just in case. I feel bad for suspecting them if they were sincere about helping me, but I know that there are also these overly helpful people who would try to take advantage of you as well.
