Arriving at Padova Train Station
Arriving at Padova Train Station

It was finally the start of a series of train journeys for me which will take me westward across northern Italy. I have no need for the rental car now and I can just use the train system from now on. I would like to think that I am used to using the train system in Europe and it was just a matter of figuring out the user interface of the kiosk at the train station. After a very short train ride from the city of Venice to the city of Padova just twenty minutes away from Venice by train. The city is probably more known as Padua to the rest of the world. Padova is the Italian name for the city and I think I should just go with that name.

Given it’s proximity to the city of Venice, it is not surprising the Padova has a lot of tourist traffic from Venice. In fact, this is exactly what I was doing since I was coming from the direction of Venice. The train platforms were unremarkable but they were functional. As usual, disembarking traveler use the stairs to go under the platforms and make their way to the exit. I waited until most people have left so I can take my photos as well as give them a little more room since I have a large backpack with me. It was hard enough to carry the backpack but worse if the backpacker was going around taking photos of everything they see.
