I thought I make a quick stop at Belvedere di Santa Lucia, which is a viewpoint on the way to Colle Santa Lucia, a small commune along my way back to Venice. I don’t like to keep repeating myself but the view along this road is really special. The roads basically weave along the mountains and in between these mountains are deep valleys. Some of these valleys don’t get much sunlight in the winter but there appears to be people living there regardless of the location. I should not be surprised anymore since there is a restaurant here seemingly in the middle of nowhere.

I left the viewpoint only to stop a hundred meters down the road upon seeing yet another view. This one is of the actual Colle Santa Lucia itself. The town is small. It even looks like one of those dioramas that you see in museums. This one is very real. I parked by a house and quickly took some photos. There wasn’t a proper viewpoint here so I needed to hurry in case I was in the way. I know that I needed to take these photos anyway, but part of me thinks that I need to get moving so I can get to my destination before dark.
