One may notice that I have been visiting a lot of these places which are known for being cold. Call me paranoid but I think that I would want to be able to visit these places before the climate warms up too much that there won’t be any more scenery like this. Fortunately, these places aren’t too far away and it is relatively easy and not too expensive to reach. I am also fortunate to be able to afford to visit these places so I would want to be able to visit them while I still can.

Lago di Braies was frozen by the time I visited it but this didn’t bother me anymore. I can see that a lot of people still come here even though it was frozen. Visitors were also on top of the ice which helps tell me which places are safe to walk on. From the looks of it, the ice was pretty thick and solid and walking on top of the ice didn’t produce any weird sounds which may indicate that it was breaking up. The weather wasn’t below freezing at the time of my visit which worried me a bit. I guess it doesn’t melt away that quickly either. Additionally, it was only December and I would expect that the days ahead would be colder further reinforcing the layer of ice. There was snow on top of the ice and I thought it was fun to walk on it. It doesn’t turn to slush like other places which means it is cold enough to stay frozen. I will try to make the most of this while I am still here.
