Striploin at Smith and Wollensky Las Vegas
Striploin at Smith and Wollensky Las Vegas

After an evening of walking around the Las Vegas Formula One race track, I was finally back at The Venetian. But it seems that I took a little too much time walking around that the shops were already closed. Most importantly, I still haven’t had dinner yet. So I frantically looked for a place to have dinner. I know, Las Vegas is one of those places which you won’t have any problem looking for a place to eat but I wanted to have something which I won’t get to eat in a while. I was walking through the mall and ended up passing by a familiar name – Smith and Wollensky.

Smith and Wollensky is one of the legendary steakhouses in New York and I didn’t know that they had a branch here. It was fortunate that I ended up here since the other places didn’t sound to interesting to me. I’ve been to the one in New York city and I was stuffed and I loved it. I didn’t bat an eye and went straight in. I got myself a strip loin which was made very well. I could never cook a steak as good as that. While I normally get ribeye, only because I think it is hard to mess up ribeye. But this time, I went for a strip loin but I knew that they will be able to make a very good one. They didn’t disappoint. My medium rare was made perfectly. The meat was easy to slice and it had the perfect moisture in it that you’d think it was a ribeye. I was very happy that I ran into this because who knows when I would be able to eat here again. I will let the wallet worry about it later.
