I walked out of The Venetian and started making my way to Las Vegas Boulevard. Funny how it seems like I already knew where to go since I have only been here once. It was already night time but there were still a lot of people walking about. When I hit Las Vegas Boulevard, saw some familiar structures. The main road was blocked off to pedestrians and there were tall fences lining the road. High above there are lights which illuminate the road. I have seen this before in Singapore and I instantly knew that it was a for a race track. I have just stumbled into the Las Vegas Formula One race track.

When I was booking for my trip to Utah via Las Vegas, I was confused as to why one of the nights which I would stay in doubled in price. I thought that maybe it was because it was a Saturday so there would be more people coming here. It turned out that the weekend was an F1 race weekend. No wonder the price jumped. It wasn’t super expensive but it was still more than I expected. Besides, it was only a day, I think I would be able to stomach that. Apparently, this is the second year that Las Vegas is hosting the race. I was actually surprised that it never did. I never follow the sport so I don’t know much about it but I thought that Las Vegas was a natural fit for this. I didn’t pay for tickets so I can only walk outside the fence. The fence is tall enough that it blocks outsiders from looking in but if you are lucky, you might find places along the road which are elevated and that may allow you to see into the track.
