Mesa Arch was my introduction to my fifth and last national park to visit here in the state of Utah. I stayed in the city of Moab which is right next to two national parks, one of which is Canyonlands National Park where the Mesa Arch is. Mesa Arch is probably one of the signature sights here in the park and I finally got to watch a beautiful sunrise here. There were a handful of tourists here but most of them arrived after the sun rose. By this time, the sun had already fully risen and it made it had to photograph the view behind the Mesh Arch.

The arch is right in front of a viewing ledge which made it very convenient for photography. Visitors can also look at the canyon below. I had no idea how high up we were since I couldn’t see anything when it was still dark. But now, I can see that the canyons here are quite deep. No wonder they called this the Canyonlands National Park. I guess, I should be expecting more of these canyons here. I like how distinct each of these national parks are. Each one has their own characteristics. This makes each of them unique and definite worth a visit each since they are all different. Of course, this is still desert and sandstone but they are all different which makes it great.
