I was very pleased with my visit to the Devil’s Garden in Arches National Park. There were several sights to see here including ones which I was going to ignore and later turned out to be one of the better places to see. I finally made my way out of the Devil’s Garden and back into the car park. By this time, there were more people, still not crowded though. It is not surprising that there would be more people now since this is the end of the driving route and there is more to see here than the other places. I decided to start heading back to the entrance.

For those of you who would know Arches National Park, you would have noticed that I didn’t even get to see the most well known of the arches in the park. Delicate Arch is probably the most well known arch here. Even if you have never heard of the name, chances are good that you would have seen the arch. Delicate Arch is the symbol of Arches National Park and deservedly so. It is considered the largest free standing arch in the park so it is considered a must visit. I made my way to one of the car parks to see the arch.
Actually, this might be a good time to mention it. There are two car parks to “access” the arch, one is to actually go there to the arch and the second one is to just see it. To merely see it, one needs to go to the Lower Delicate Arch viewing point. There is no way to get to the arch from here if you decide to go for it. To hike to the arch from the other car park, one would need a three mile hike round trip mostly uphill so it is not for the faint of heart. I know that this is the most significant arch in the park, but three miles round trip is just too much for me.
