I was happily hiking along part of the Grand Wash Trail in Capitol Reef National Park hoping to reach Cassidy Arch which I only found out from a sign along the trail. I kept walking for what has been a mile or two and there was no sign of an arch or even a sign for the arch. I thought that it wasn’t that properly sign posted that I missed a turn somewhere. The trail looks like it will continue on for much further that I decided to call it quits and turn back. On the way back, I noticed a tiny sign which says trail. I don’t really know which trail it was pointing to but I know I missed that sign and by now I have already given up on the Cassidy Arch.

I was glad that I wasn’t even tired despite how far I have hiked the trail. It is thanks to the very flat trail that has barely any noticeable elevation gain. The only thing you need to worry about here are the random stones which one might step on along the way. I only had runners with me so I need to be a little more careful lest I sprain my ankle and there won’t be anyone to help me get back. There are a handful of hikers here but I can see that it isn’t packed with people. It could just be the low tourist season as well but I don’t want to risk not getting back because I couldn’t walk.
