It was early morning and I got out early to hit the road. Today’s destination is Capitol Reef National Park. I am hoping to complete the visit early so I can continue where I need to stay for the night. I forgot all about this national park and I didn’t allocate enough time but hopefully I would be able to see most of the park that I don’t need to stay. This was the first time I have heard of Capitol Reef National Park and it was only when I need to find out which national parks that I needed to visit that I came to know about it.

The way to the park is a lot of wilderness. There weren’t a lot of vehicles along the way, most probably because it wasn’t tourist season and also that it was in the middle of nowhere. Just before entering the official park grounds, there was a pullout that visitors can stop by. There was a viewing area here named Panorama Point. With a name like that, you would expect an incredible view but I thought it wasn’t much. Probably because I have seen enough of this desert scene that I have gotten too used to it. Honestly, I think the cliffs behind the panorama point are much better to look at compared to the actual view itself. Or maybe I was just looking at it the wrong way.
