I got up early in the day in Zion and drove all the way to Bryce Canyon National Park and spent most of the day there. Suffice to say that I was already tired by the time I was done. I know I always tend to do this but I like to be able to maximize the time I have when I visit. This was no exception. Instead of staying at Bryce Canyon City which is right outside the park entrance, I decided to stay in the city of Tropic which is thirty minutes away from the park entrance. It is a small city so there wasn’t any traffic, especially that time of the day.

I found accommodation at Bryce Valley Lodging which is along the main street of the city. I thought about the potential noise since it was near main street but that wasn’t an issue at all. What’s more the accommodations is not a hotel, but rather, they are log cabins. There were several individual log cabins lined up in the lot. There is parking outside the cabin which is convenient for me. There was no reception here, all I got was a pin code and I just needed to key that in and I can get in my cabin.
The like these types of accommodations where you feel that you are out in the country. It feels very rustic and homey. I got a large bed for myself and it comes with most of what you would expect from accommodations. Most importantly, it had heating which I needed desperately. It was very cold that evening and I like to just stay in the room just to keep warm. The cabin also comes with an en suite bathroom. With fatigue finally settling in, and the warmth of the heaters finally kicking in, I think I can sleep well tonight.
