Country Fried Steak at Rustler’s Restaurant in Tropic, Utah

I think I have seen most of what Bryce Canyon National Park has to offer. I know I might have missed one or two spots but I have been out for the whole day and I need to check into my accommodation soon. Bryce Canyon National Park has a nearby Bryce Canyon City, right outside the park entrance. As you might expect, this is lined with hotels and restaurants but it doesn’t too be that plentiful considering it is right outside the park entrance. What’s more, I would expect it to be more expensive to stay there since it was too convenient to stay there if you are visiting Bryce Canyon.

I have already visited Bryce Canyon National Park so I have don’t have a reason to stay that close to the park entrance. I already had this planned and I will be staying further out in the city of Tropic, which is around thirty minutes away from the park entrance. Accommodation would be more affordable and hopefully there would be a restaurant nearby where I can have dinner. True enough there was one right across my accommodation – Rustler’s Restaurant.

As the name implies, this place serves western food which is what I expected in this region. I got myself a plate of country fried steak. Country fried steak can be described as deep fried breaded steak. It has been a while since I had this and I really like this dish. However, the one I had a Rustler’s Restaurant wasn’t as tasty as I thought it would be. A lot of the flavor of the dish comes from the sauce which, in this case, was a bit of a let down. It didn’t taste bad, but it wasn’t super tasty either. Either way, I got my dinner and it was time to check in and get some rest.
