Farview Point in Bryce Canyon National Park is another stop on my way back to the visitors center. By this point, the scenic spots were beginning to look like each other. This is the same for Farview Point. I think it is just slightly different angles of the same view. Some will have canyons, others won’t. The view Farview Point isn’t that great either, at least compared to the others. I probably got spoiled by the view I saw from Sunset Point. I think it was all isn’t as great anymore. Probably not surprising this is the case since I went to the highest point and probably every view would have been looking down on some place.

Farview Point has a little bonus though. There is a very short trail which leads to another spot. There is a sign at Farview Point so it is difficult to miss. The path leads to another viewpoint called Piracy Point. The structures here supposedly resemble pirates’ ships but I don’t really see the resemblance. Looking it up online, there is another kind of piracy involved here and that is stream piracy. This is when the water from an existing stream is naturally diverted to another stream, in other words, the stream was pirated. This is happening, albeit at a very slow pace. There are streams below where the water from one stream would eventually be pirated by the neighboring stream. This high up the plateau, it is almost impossible to see this but it is supposedly there. I’ll just have to trust them.
