Even though I visited Sunset Point at Bryce Canyon National Park in the morning, just one look at it tells me that this is probably one of the most popular places in the park. There is a natural amphitheater that showcases the most common feature of the park and that are the hoodoos. The hoodoos are these sandstone pillars that you see here. Although hoodoos are not unique to Bryce Canyon, the sheer abundance of these hoodoos make it the largest concentration of hoodoos on earth. Visitors would usually end up at the rim of canyon overlooking the amphitheater. This produces what is probably the most photographed location of Bryce Canyon National Park.
As the name implies, Sunset Point would be the place to catch a sunset at Bryce Canyon. It was still mid morning and I still have the rest of the day to visit the park. I think the park isn’t as large as Zion, so I think I would have time to spare. I would probably end up coming back here to catch the sunset. But I can already imagine how brilliant the colors would be here. You can see how the sandstone is reddish even in the morning light. I would probably look even better when the sun is going down.
