I was able to see a lot of places at Zion National Park. I know most people do hiking here but I don’t have the time to go on long hikes because I need to see other places in the park. I know that Zion National Park is one of the most well known parks in the country and it would be a shame to just allocate a day or two to a visit here. But I don’t have much time to spare and I need to keep moving to the next place. I am only visiting and I don’t have the luxury of staying here for long periods. Still I was able to see several important places given the limited amount of time I have here.

Having said that, there were still some places which weren’t accessible due to danger in the area. In particular, there was a place which was blocked access because there was a recent rockfall. Looking at the park, one would think that this is the final state of the park since it is all dry but it is still changing. The Virgin River is still carving. Stones still fall making the canyon bigger. Unfortunately this is where I need to stop my visit to Zion National Park. It was already afternoon and I was already thinking of dinner. I tried looking up some restaurant in Springdale, but they were expensive. I should not be surprised since most of these establishments here cater to tourists.

I was staying at a hotel in the city of Hurricane around thirty minutes away from Zion National Park. I think this is a more affordable place to stay in, not to mention that there are more amenities. On the way back, I saw this restaurant in the city of La Verkin, which is the city right next to Hurricane. And I thought I should pay it a visit. I think I have an idea of what kind of food they serve here but I would still want to try it. It was packed that night but I was still able to get a seat. They serve American pub food here. I got myself a plate of ribs and some jalapeno pepper poppers. I thought they were great. The area where I was at was a bit dark but it wasn’t too bad. The ribs were tasty and the service was great. It wasn’t super cheap but I think it was fair enough considering my other option was food at Springdale.
