Walking Along the Virgin River

You can say that the heart and soul of Zion National Park is the Virgin River. Over the millennia, the Virgin River patiently carved this part of the Colorado Plateau into what is now known as Zion National Park. As for the river, it doesn’t look as mighty as what a carver of Zion National Park would look like. The river passes through the park and right beside the visitor center which gave me the idea that the Virgin River isn’t that impressive. However, one of the most important places here in Zion involves the river but to see that place, I need to walk upstream.

To get to places within the park, there is a bus service which brings visitors to several important spots within the park. I would need to go to the end of the bus line to see one of the most important places here in the park. I am not sure if you can bring your own vehicle here but I don’t think it was a good idea anyway since there would be very limited parking spots if ever. There are frequent buses here in the park which means you do not need to wait that long for your bus. The bus drive would also tell you where you are and may even tell some facts while he’s at it. At the very end of the bus line, I finally got off. however, this still wasn’t where I needed to go. There is a bit of a hike to get to the point but I would prefer to take my time here and enjoy the scenery. The area is flat so it should be accessible for most people.
