Ex-Vertretung

I had a very nice meal at Löwenbräu Köln Hotel und Restaurant. It was a traditional restaurant with very nice interiors. This time around, I wasn’t super full unlike the previous night where I had difficulty finishing the food. I thought that maybe I should go for desert this time. I know that it isn’t exactly the best time to have a cold desert. The first thing that I thought of would be apple strudel. It may not be exactly an original German desert but it is still worth having it somewhere else.

Since there were a several restaurants along this street, I didn’t really walk that far to find another place. I eventually found Ex-Vertretung which is just a few doors down. Part of the reason why I ended up here was that they have a fire inside. I thought it would be nice to go there to have dessert by a warm fire. The restaurant wasn’t that busy anymore but there were still customers inside. They do serve dinner here but I was here to have dessert. The staff was very friendly and I quickly given my apple strudel.

I don’t remember when I last had this but I thought it was very nice. Since this was dessert, I didn’t really rush through it. I was relaxing to have my dessert here. The fact that the restaurant wasn’t very busy also helped keep me inside. I know I don’t eat dessert most of the time but I’m on vacation and I think I want to pamper myself once in a while.
