I was with families spending the weekend in Dublin to give the kids a Christmas Experience in nearby county Wicklow. Of course, we won’t be spending the whole time there since we also have other places to visit. While I know Kildare Village isn’t exactly a tourist spot, we did go there to do a bit of Christmas shopping. I didn’t really have much to buy there but I always liked the design of the entire place. There have been successive expansions to the Kildare Village and there are even more shops here than when I last visited. I ended up only buying chocolates from a shop there while the rest of the gang were shopping for bags and clothes.

We ended up spending most of the day there and soon it was already dark and it was time for dinner. I never really looked forward to eating here in Kildare Village because for a shopping destination such as this, there was a surprisingly small number eating places, especially the sit down ones. We ended up going to this place called Saba which is a Thai Restaurant. The place was big and it was buzzing with activity. I was shocked to know that they can accommodated our large group even if we didn’t have any booking.

I ended up getting a dish called boom, which apparently is a very spicy chicken dish. I have never heard of this dish before but I just wanted to try it since it is supposedly very spicy. They weren’t kidding. The dishes came out very quick which led me to believe that this is just one of those pour whatever sauce you need on top of the meat and you have a new dish. The sauce was no doubt very spicy and by the time I finished everything I was already having a hard time eating anything. Fortunately, there was rice to accompany the very spicy chicken. My friends seemed to like their food a lot and I thought mine was okay. I thought it was a worth a try to eat there seeing as to how limited the choices were at Kildare Village, I probably would have ended up eating here again the next time I need to pick one.
