Although it seems that I have been to a lot of places this year, I thought that most of the time I didn’t have much say in what I would be doing or what I will do for that day. This excludes that time that I went to South West United States after a business trip. I probably still need to adjust to this kind of lack of control since I am used to doing everything by myself. So I thought that maybe I should plan a trip of my own. And that it what I did. Just a few weeks prior to this, I thought of going to Germany. I haven’t been there and I am sure that there are a lot of places to see there.

Germany is rather large, relatively speaking and I won’t be able to cover the entire country in one trip so I thought of visiting the western part of the country. My entry point would be the city of Düsseldorf which would be one of several entry points Germany has with Ireland. I spent the night at the car park of the hotel I left the car at. I didn’t see the point of spending money to sleep in a bed when I only get a few hours of sleep. I was a bit surprised to know how cold the car park was even if it was underground. Although, I think this is still loads better than parking above ground.

My flight arrived past ten in the morning and I needed to orient myself quickly. Düsseldorf has a large airport and I actually got lost and going out of bounds where I exited the baggage claim area without claiming my baggage, fortunately, there was staff to help me getting back in. I managed to get my bag quickly enough and I was on my way. I actually wasn’t going to stay in Düsseldorf but rather I leaving it for a nearby city. First I need to find the airport train which will get me to my transportation.
