I had a long but pleasant drive from Las Vegas to the city of Flagstaff in the state of Arizona. It took a total of four hours for me to get there and by the time I was checking into Travelers Inn I was starting to feel the effects of even more jetlag. I stayed for a week in the East Coast and flew over to what is already considered the West Coast which pushed my time lag to seven hours. I arrived in Flagstaff at around six thirty in the evening which is just about right. However, my body clock says it is already one in the morning. At this point I was just ready to go to bed but I realized that I haven’t had dinner yet. I spent more of the day traveling that I didn’t have time to eat.

Fortunately, there is a hotel next door and apparently, they have a good Mexican place there. Agave Mxican is a nice and colorful restaurant at the Western Hills Motel. It was already dinner time and there were already a lot of people there but I still managed to get a seat here. I ordered the Azteca Plate which is basically some kind of platter featuring various types of Mexican food. I’m not very familiar with Mexican food apart from tacos, fajitas and enchilladas, so I thought this was a nice change from what I was eating in the East Coast. To start, I was given a plate of nachos which I gobbled down. The plate was actually quite substantial. Accordding to the menu, it contains carne asada, grilled nopal, stuffed poblano and enchilada. I honestly didn’t know which is which, but I ate it all anyway. They also give you a plate of freshly made tortillas. I know I was tired but I thought the food was very nice. You can see that this place is good because there are people streaming in to the place. I would like to better appreciate this place but considering that I was very tired and yet, I thought the food was good, I think it says a lot about the place.
