Much as I wasn’t really pleased with the Econolodge Malden, it still served its purpose. Yes, it was depressing. Yes, it was not very clean. Ultimately, I didn’t lose any of my stuff there. I still managed to take a shower. I also didn’t get stabbed in the middle of my sleep which I count as a good thing. I only booked the place for one night before I need to move out to a different hotel. In defense of Econolodge, I only booked it for a night because I already had another one booked for the next night. I thought that I would save some money if I just took the bus but the bus only arrives every hour and I just missed it. I knew that I needed to take an Uber to get to the other hotel which was downtown. The Uber wasn’t very clean but it still managed to bring me to the hotel.

Cambria Hotel Boston Downtown – South Boston will be my home for the next few days. It is right outside a subway station so that would be very convenient for me. It is also near a river which would be great for walking whenever. I was pleased to be allowed to check in even if it was still morning. Usually hotels would allow check in in the afternoon, so that was a good sign. The room was not as large as the Econolodge but I would gladly trade that for this room at the Cambria Hotel Boston Downtown – South Boston. I had a room overlooking the highway, which was okay. It would have been nice to have a view of the harbor if at all possible.

The room was nice and clean. It has a bit of an industrial design to it. With the concrete walls being bare but it matches the elegant interiors. The bed was nice and clean with sockets next to the bed to charge my gadgets. The bathroom was large and spacious as well, complete with toiletries. I did spend several nights at the Cambria Hotel Boston Downtown – South Boston and enjoyed every night of it. I will not hesitate to book this place even if it will cost me a little more extra.
