Kinsale Museum

I think I have visited most of the heritage structures in Kinsale. So I was thinking of moving on. I needed to go since I still need to check in with the bed and breakfast I would be staying with. As I was making my way back to the car. I remember that there was an interesting structure in the middle of town. I imagine that it can be an old town hall but apparently it was an old courthouse. These days it now serves as the Kinsale Museum. Museums are off limits these days so I can only stay outside to take photos.

Outside the Kinsale Museum

The old courthouse was built in the 1600s and was used for ceremonies in later years. The courthouse is wonderfully preserved. Looking at it from the outside, I wasn’t even sure where the main entrance was. I would think that the arches would lead inside. I wouldn’t be able to tell because the place is closed. The top of the old courthouse is topped by small tower, which can make it look like a castle. It is a pity I can’t get in. It maybe selfish of me but this pandemic is terrible for my travel. How I wish that this would all just be a bad dream.
