Snowy Mountains at Killarney National Park

I when I visited Killarney, it was towards the end of the winter season. It probably wasn’t the best time to go visiting in the first place but I thought that I might as well have a tour of the area. There won’t be as many tourists here and to be honest, the weather probably wouldn’t have been that much different. Sure, it would be colder but it would still be raining anyway. It was only then that I realized that visiting in the winter isn’t that bad an idea after all. If the ever changing weather is a given then I don’t have much to lose by coming. Fortunately, it doesn’t snow much in Ireland so the roads are clear most of the time even in winter.

What is nice is that there are a lot of mountains in the Killarney National PArk area and it happened that there has been snow recently. I hardly ever get any photos of this scenery so I thought I was quite luckly to come. While these mountains aren’t that tall by any means, they are still high enough that they would retain the snow cover for a longer time compared to sea level. If I am just patient and can get some clear sky shots of the mountains here. Looking down, I can also see some smaller lakes. I don’t know if there is a road going there since I can’t see it in the map. I also got to see a local resident of Killarney National Park – a single deer. The park has a lot of these deer but this is the first time I have seen one. This particular one didn’t seem that flighty since it was still somewhat hanging about while I was taking photos.
