Ladies View

There is a nice driving route around the lakes of Killarney National Park. I love driving around like this in the country and it makes it even better that they have special parking areas for nice spots. Sometimes you would know about this beforehand with a sign but in this case there is no sign so you probably need to drive a little slower in case you need to pull over to take photos. What I don’t like about this is that I am the one driving and I won’t have the luxury to just look around. I can only appreciate these things when there is a pullover area and actually get out of the car.

The road was going further up the mountains and away from the lakes. I felt bad about being far away from it since it is so picturesque, what I didn’t know was that there is a stopover ahead where you can see the lakes in its entirety. Ladies View is where you can see the Upper Lakes from above. The view point is a big far away so you might need some telephoto lens to see it better. I don’t know the reason why it was called Ladies View, maybe because the view is so beautiful it looks like a lady. Admittedly, the view is very nice. I didn’t even need to get out of the car to admire the view. There is a visitor center here at the top but it is closed because of winter. There is also a cafe. I imagine it would be very nice here during the summer but I bet I won’t be the only one here.
