Viewing Deck at the Kasbah of the Udayas

I was under the impression that the Kasbah of the Udayas was not open to the public. However, it seems that this applies only to the part which is nearer the promenade. The kasbah is much larger than that and it turns out that there is a way to get in the kasbah and look around. To be honest, I didn’t think the kasbah was that interesting. There was a path which leads directly to end of the kasbah which is facing the river. This essentially becomes a viewing deck. I can see that other people have the same idea. There are several couples here just hanging out and I can understand why they would pick this place.

Since there were several couples here, it would also make sense to set up a coffee shop here to cater to them. I must admit that it would be nice to just sit here and admire the view. However, a lot of the spots have already been taken and it would be quite awkward for me to grab a seat here all by myself. The viewing deck gives you a panoramic view of the area and I get to appreciate how clean the nearby river is. I would imagine cities in Africa would be unsanitary but this is really an eye opener for me.
