Exploring the Garden at the Kasbah of the Udayas

The Kasbah of the Udayas isn’t particularly impressive. There were large parts of the citadel which is under construction so I could only see the places which are not indoors. There is a nice viewing deck by the river though. I was walking back to the entrance when I passed through small garden. It seems to be another nice place to hang out. It reminds me of the andalusian gardens which seem to be quite common here in Morocco. This one has a bit more shade – and people. There was a large group of students here and they seems to be Spanish. I envy how these students can have a school trip outside the country when they are still young.

The garden itself is unremarkable. What is probably the most interesting bit are the towers which you can see here. Like the rest of the place it is also unremarkable. I probably have seen too many of these this trip that I have become used to them. Unfortunately, the tower itself is inaccessible. It is blocked by a metal gate and they seem to have stationed a guard there as well. The guard seems to be just sitting around though. I don’t know what else is beyond that, maybe more construction.
