I was surprised to run into another church here in Albi. Then again, I probably shouldn’t since this is after all an episcopal city, churches should be common here. Anyway, the Collegiate Church of Saint Salvi is an old church which is dedicated to Saint Salvi who served as bishop of Albi in the 6th century. The church itself, or at least parts of date back to the 11th century. It really doesn’t look its age probably a result of continuous renovations. The church was quite dark inside but the important parts of the church are lit up.

For a church which is not a cathedral, there are parts around the church which are chapels. I only see these in cathedrals and I was surprised to see them here. It really feels like these is much more to see here despite its size. The chapels didn’t have anything that is exceptional, probably I was too used to this kind of thing by now. What is probably most interesting in the church is the presence of several statues just after getting in the church. The statues are human sized and depict various figures from the bible. This set of statues is named “Christ with Links”, I wasn’t sure what that meant. All I can recognize from the statues is Jesus Christ himself, the others are said to be prophets.
