Gare d’Avignon TGV

I was excited to know that I would be taking a TGV train to the city of Avignon. I read somewhere that TGV once held the record for being the fastest train in the world that was until the recent batch of newer and faster trains came online. It doesn’t mean that the TGV is slow, far from it. As always, whenever I ride one of these fast moving trains, it is so smooth that it feels like the train is flying. The city of Avignon is an hour and a half away from the city of Lyon. I needed to be awake here since Avignon isn’t the last stop of the train.

What I found out was that the train to Avignon stops at Gare d’Avignon which was not in the area where I wanted to go to. I have to take another train from Gare d’Avignon to Gare d’Avignon Centre. I didn’t know that the Gare d’Avignon would be a treat to see. The station is elongated following the tracks. It tapers off a both ends of the station and gives the impression that both ends rise up. It was an interesting design which makes for good photographs. I got confused on how to get to my train since the signs were a bit confusing. I did eventually find the platform I needed to go to.
