Train to Avignon

High Speed Train to Avignon

High Speed Train to Avignon

I got up early in the morning to catch at train out of Lyon. It was time for me to move on and the area around Avignon would be my next destination. Fortunately, I picked a hotel which happens to stand right next to the huge Perrache railway station in Lyon. I thought that it was going to be a direct ride I needed to switch trains at Gare de Lyon which is the main train station of the city before continuing on. It was still early in the morning and I doubt there would be a lot of people going to Avignon for work. Lyon is the bigger city so the rush hour traffic will be going that way.

The train I took was very modern. It is actually a high speed train which would get to Avignon in an hour and a half. There were only a handful of people in the car with me so I had the row of seats all to myself. Conveniently, there was wifi on board the train. There was also a electrical socket so I would be able to keep my phone charged up while I fiddle around with it. The train actually goes all the way to Nice but which is past Avignon. This means I can’t just sleep away the train ride and I must pay attention to where I was lest I miss my stop.
