Streets of Lyon at Night

The streets of Lyon come alive at night with lights making it a pleasure to walk along these old streets. The interesting part of Vieux Lyon is not very big but one can spend hours walking here and just enjoying the old town. Much of the old town has been preserved through it has been line with numerous establishments. A lot of the establishments naturally close at night but there are still the restaurants here which makes it a very nice place to enjoy a night quiet dinner. Thankfully, there weren’t that many people here to make things feel crowded.

Lyon Cathedral is closed but it is lit up by lights that it is difficult to miss it. It is one of those times that I wish I have a tripod with me. This place will really benefit from some long exposures. Alas, I never really feel like bringing a tripod whenever I travel. My loss. It was winter when I visited and I was glad that it wasn’t that cold at all. In fact, you could get away with a light jacket. I don’t know if that kind of weather is normal for Lyon but I’m grateful that I can walk around the city comfortably.
