Choir of the Sanctuary of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska

I was impressed with the Sanctuary of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, it was not a large church but it more than made up for elegance. The romanseque church can be said to be the centerpiece of the Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. The manager of the apartment I was staying at mentioned that there is a monastery here but didn’t say anything else about the place. I think that speaks to the importance of the sanctuary. Then again, he was a kid when he was last here so maybe an adult might be able to better appreciate this place. It looks like I won’t be able to explore much of this place so I decided to just spend some time exploring the sanctuary.

I was surprised to see that the choir are of the sanctuary was open to visitors. It is not very common that visitors are allowed beyond the altar. The it s a room behind the altar and it seemed to be quite dark. I do see chairs which are facing each other which seems to imply that this is the choir of the church. These are quite common in old churches but I have yet to see them used. I’m glad to see that they allow access to most of the sanctuary which helps you better appreciate the church.
