Bronze Pavillion 铜亭
One of the unique structures in the Dai Temple is the Bronze Pavillion. As the name implies, it is literally a pavillion made of bronze. The pavillion sits on top of a small elevation where you can see the surrounding area. The pavillion was cast in the the year 1615 in celebration of Emperor Wanli’s 45th year. It used to be in a temple on top of Mount Tai, but was later moved to another temple in Tai’an City and finally in 1972, moved to its present location here inside the Dai Temple.
