I was a little disappointed with the view of the old town of Český Krumlov from the castle at night. I was hoping to get great night shots of the old town but unfortunately, there were powerful spotlights aimed at the castle, right where I was. This meant that there will be bright lights in the photos no matter where. This basically dashes any hopes of any decent night shots. I don’t know if the spotlights are ever turned off at night but I wasn’t holding my breath. I head back down to meet up with my friends to figure out what to do for dinner.

I was supposed to have been the one who was to look for a place to eat but in my eagerness to take photos, I wasn’t able to find a place in time. We thought of having dinner at a place beside the river but they weren’t open. We ended up at what appears to be the main square of the old town – Svornosti. The square is just the right size for a town like this. There were several restaurants around the square but the one we were interested in was fully booked. Still for an important place like that Svornosti Square, it sure is very quiet here. I know that I don’t expect loud music from a place like this, but there weren’t that many people either. It almost feels like most people just come here during the day.
