I spent the rest of the morning at Lago di Braies. Even though it is frozen over, I can see that the scenery is really nice here. Even the sky was starting to clear up. With the huge hotel near the entrance, I can tell that a lot of people come here. Visitors can do hikes around the lake, and I think that is something that I might even want to do. Of course, I won’t do it because I need to keep to my schedule. And right now, the schedule is saying that I need to go for lunch.

For such a popular place, there was only one place to grab food at. They have a captive audience here and everybody who is hungry was buying from them including me. I ended up just getting sausage and bread. It was quite disappointing but I think it would be hard to have full blown meals here, especially in the winter. There weren’t a lot of seats inside, and I had to sit and have my lunch in the cold. In hindsight, I probably should have just brought everything back to the car and eat there. As for the sausage, there wasn’t anything special about it. It was a quick snack, enough to tide me over until dinner.
