I managed to get my dinner just before the steakhouse would close. Now, I needed to think about how to get back to the hotel. I was at the Strip and my hotel was in downtown Las Vegas. Because of the ongoing Las Vegas Formula One race, there has been a lot of rerouting of the streets. I fortunately, have already gotten rid of the rental car by this time and I was only going by public transportation. Normally, it would be easy to use with the app you can download, but because of the rerouting, I wasn’t sure where I would be waiting for my bus.

Normally it would be along the Las Vegas Boulevard, but now it has been moved, somewhere. That somewhere turned out to be not that far away. The track ends at the Fashion Show Shopping Mall and not too far away from there is the bus stop going back. I managed to find this bus stop and got on a bus back downtown. The bus doesn’t stop at my hotel but it was close enough. This still gave me the opportunity to go through one of the signature experiences in Las Vegas. The Fremon Street Experience is basically a covered pedestrian street which prominently features what used to be the world’s largest LED screen. It has given up the crown of largest to the The Sphere also in Las Vegas. As you might expect, the street is still busy with people. I would have expected that there won’t be anyone there since there was the ongoing race but it was still quite busy. I guess, a lot of people also don’t care much about the race. Besides, the race cars just go round and round, right? Right?
