I had a great time in Arches National Park and an even better time resting at the hotel. For once, I didn’t have to drive very far to get to my accommodations since Arches National Park is right outside Moab City. However, Arches National Park isn’t the only national park near Moab City. Canyonlands National Park is another national also near the city. It actually isn’t as near to Moab as Arches is but it is close enough that it is still consider to be near Moab. The following day, I got up very early in the morning to get breakfast. Fortunately, the hotel already has breakfast prepared so I wolfed down all the food and set off.

It was very early in the morning and in November it was still dark. This was perfect since I don’t want to have to wake up three in the morning to go out. It was great that Canyonlands National Park isn’t that far from Moab city at least I don’t have to rush. The reason for me getting up this early in the morning is that I want to try sunrise photos for a change. With the shorter days, it is easier for me to do this and hopefully, I won’t have to compete with a lot of other tourists for a spot. I just breezed through the national park gate since staff weren’t on duty yet. It doesn’t really matter since I already have purchased a season pass. I got to the car park first and there wasn’t anyone there yet. I tried to get a little rest since I was a bit early but I don’t want to be too relaxed that I would totally miss sunrise. This promises to be something special.
