Pine Tree Arch is yet another natural sandstone arch in Arches National Park. The trail to the arch branches off from the main Devil’s Garden trail. There are less people on this trail but isn’t one which is more difficult to access than the main one. I like how they made these trails to be accessible for most people even if they don’t have proper hiking gear. The trail ends up at the said arch. The Pine Tree Arch is named for the pine trees which grow near the structure. I would consider this one of the smaller arches which I have visited. Having said that it is still much taller than I am.

The arch is rather thin for what it is, though it may not be that obvious looking at it. The arch faces an open area in the park but I think that anyone from the other side looking towards the arch would have difficulty finding it because it just blends into the background which is another sandstone wall. I can see how park managers would have difficulty locating arches when they all have the same color. This is more especially so for the smaller arches in the park. Obviously, the taller ones can be easily spotted even from far away.
