Viewing Tower at Avondale Forest Park
The tree top walkway at the Avondale Forest Park provides an easy way for visitors to explore the forest park. As you might expect, the forest floor isn’t exactly flat and it can go up and down depending on the terrain. The tree top walk is an elevated walkway that essentially allows level walking for much of the trail. This means that some points of the walkway would be as tall as the trees and it can be an amazing sight. While it isn’t terribly long, it also gives you views of the surrounding area and I immediately saw a structure that seemed to be a little out of place.
Top of the Avondale Forest Park Viewing Tower
There was a huge tower in the middle of nowhere. Apparently, this is a viewing tower and people can climb it. The viewing tower is unique that it is built with a lot of wood and it is supposedly environmentally friendly. I thought it was strange structure to see in the middle of a forest park but it seems this is not the only structure like this. There are several similar structures in Europe and even North America. They have varying designs but the basic template is the same. In keeping with the whole eco-friendly theme of the tower, the tower itself is made of wood taken from this very forest. I can see how tall it actually is and it is amazing that it actually made of wood. I bet the views from the top would be awesome.
