I had a great time at Singapore’s latest landmark the Jewel Changi Airport. It was obviously meant to cater to travelers. However, this doesn’t prevent non-travelers from going in as well since this is all outside the airport itself. If I had any complaint about it, then it would be that it was too crowded. Then again, I know that it is a thorny issue these days. I managed to get my dinner and get my photos so I quickly head back to the airport. I know that I have a lot of time but I’m the type of traveler that prefers to get there early and just wait, rather then going there with exactly the amount of time one would supposedly need. I don’t think I can stand not knowing if I have enough time to check in, to buy stuff or eat again.
I would be departing from a newly renovated (for me) Terminal 2. I am glad that they have several installations to keep visitors busy. I know, it is not a coincidence that Changi Airport is considered to be one of the best airports in the world. Among the new installations that I saw is a whole waterfall inside Terminal 2. Actually, it isn’t an actual waterfall but a four storey digital display which displays a raging waterfall. I am pretty sure they considered to install an actual waterfall here but maybe it wasn’t feasible. If you use your imagination, it does look like a full blown waterfall which pours above a passageway. Changi Airport seems to continually evolve for the better and this digital water is just the latest one I have seen.
