Tropicana Las Vegas

Tropical Themed House at Tropicana

I seemed to have arrived at a very major intersection at the strip. This is the Tropicana-Las Vegas Boulevard intersection. There are several hotels in this intersection. There is MGM Grand, New York-New York, Excalibur and Tropicana. It seems that pedestrians can’t cross at street level. There is an overhead pedestrian bridge to let people go around the intersection and each of the bridges are connected to the individual hotel casinos. The bridges are wide open though so there is no shelter from the sun when moving from one hotel to another. I was leaving MGM Grand to cross the street and I saw that there was another hotel across the street which was Tropicana.

From the look of the hotel casino, it doesn’t seem to be inspiring. There is a small house painted white below which might remind you of one that might be built in the tropics. Aside from that, there is tall hotel building attached to it which is also painted white. The building didn’t look very interesting which probably explains why I have never heard of it. While I have heard of Tropicana the orange juice, I have never heard of Tropicana the hotel casino. I wasn’t too keen on visiting this place so I just took photos from the outside and just moved on. It really helps if the hotel has personality to bring visitors in.
