Going Inside the Caesar’s Palace Casino

I thoroughly enjoyed going around the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace. There is a large variety of shops here. The shops are spread out across the mall which gives you the impression that you going walking around in ancient Rome. Of course, ancient Rome didn’t have any fancy shops like the ones we see here. There are also open spaces here which ancient Rome most probably had. However, what ancient Rome probably didn’t have is a casino. When I first heard of Caesar’s Palace I always envisioned it to be just a massive casino. I honestly didn’t understand why people would come here just to gamble.

But I know better now, there is stuff other than gambling here but for now, I would like to have a look at the casino at Caesar’s Palace. After walking all over the Forum Shops, I eventually ended up at the entrance to the casino. I had no intention to gamble but I just wanted to have a look. I know nothing about these things so it would be better if I just keep my money to myself. The casino floor is vast. It is full of electronic gambling machines. I didn’t understand this at first because it looked more like an arcade gaming machine. I used to think that a casino would have mechanical slot machines but it seems that everything is all electronic now, not unlike an arcade machine.

There are still the traditional table games which names I don’t know either. But even that is also being replaced by electronic versions. You have big screen where the virtual card dealer is and you sit in front of it and press buttons for whatever you want. It is amazing to see how even this industry was also changed by the information technology revolution. Fortunately, the casino floor at Caesar’s Palace doesn’t smell like the casino at the Plaza Hotel and Casino where I was staying. I know Caesar’s Palace doesn’t need to deal with a sewage problem unlike the former, but it really changes things.
