Brilliant Desert Colors in Arizona

Brilliant Desert Colors in Arizona

My visit to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon was a much more pleasant one. It helps that it wasn’t very hot that day. It also helps that I have somewhat adjusted to the change in timezone. Having said that, I made Page in Arizona my base in exploring the area and it was still quite a bit of a drive. I thought it was okay since I don’t need to move from place to place. However, I still need to drive quite a distance to get to the North Rim. I was done for the day and I thought I give myself a bit more time to get back to Page. I have been moving non-stop these past few days and although I’m just sitting in the car, it can still get exhausting.

Fortunately, it wasn’t very stressful to drive here. There was hardly any traffic here and the roads are big and wide. The only danger is for you to get too relaxed driving. I had cruise control engaged most of the time but I was still conscious of what I was doing. It does help lessen the stress of driving for long periods of time. By the time I was getting to Page, the sun has gone down quite a bit. It is still afternoon but the colors have visibly changed here. I would stop every now and then to take photos of the desert landscape. Each time I step out of the car, I would quickly realize that it was very hot outside. I would take my photos and quickly run back into the car.
