Walking to the Giant’s Causeway

The Giant’s Causeway is one of my favorite places to go to in Northern Ireland. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site which is known for its unique rock formations and amazing seaside scenery. I needed to drive some people who were on holiday and I get free food while I’m at it. I didn’t forget to bring my camera since I was already there. I didn’t realize that it was going to be a beautiful day and I was just happy that I did bring my camera along. Nothing much has changed at the Giant’s Causeway even after those lock downs. It looks like the trails are still the same and there aren’t any new ones which have been opened up.

The best way to experience the Giant’s Causeway is by walking. Having said that, I don’t think we would be walking around that much since there are some elderly people with us and I don’t think they would appreciate being made to walk around a lot. The first place people normally see here is Portnaboe, it is a small bay. This area doesn’t have the prominent basalt columns which the Giant’s Causeway is known for, but it gives you an idea of the landscape that comprises this area. While it is theoretically possible to go all the way down to the water, it is strongly discouraged that visitors veer away from the path. There are creatures here that are endangered and by going out of the path, people might end up destroying their habitat.
