Going to the Giant’s Causeway

Dunseverick Castle

Dunseverick Castle

It feels like it has been ages since I last visited the Giant’s Causeway. A friend of mine had visitors and they needed to be shown around. I was asked to be the driver of the second car, in return I get free food, not too bad I think. That day turned out to be a glorious day. The skies were clear and it was perfect for going out. I actually didn’t know if the place would be open since pandemic was still officially ongoing. But we were able to book parking which means that the place is actually open. I can’t remember how many times I have been here but I always enjoy coming here.

Officially, you do not need tickets to visit the Giant’s Causeway, however, if you will be bringing a car here and making use of the parking facilities, you would need a ticket. You will also need that same ticket if you intend to use the restroom which is at the visitor center. The site is rather remote but there is a bus from Bushmills to the Giant’s Causeway, in case you prefer to take public transportation since parking can be a bit limited here. The previous time we visited, we parked further up the road and just walked in. Results may vary.
