Moët and Chandon

The Avenue de Champagne is something like a mecca for champagne lovers. It is a single street where most, if not all, of the major champagne houses in the world have set up shop. This is primarily because they need to be near where the grapes are grown and harvested. I would also think that there was a bit of competition there too, since you would want be where the big champagne houses are. If people go there, and you didn’t set up shop there, then you miss out. What is also nice is that the buildings here along the Avenue de Champagne are actually nice. This gives the avenue a sense of uniformity and elegance that you won’t find elsewhere.

This is Still Moët and Chandon

This is Still Moët and Chandon

One of the biggest players in the champagne industry is the Moët and Chandon. It is not surprising that they have a huge presence along the Avenue de Champagne. While I would be going in Moët and Chandon later in the day, I was still surprised to see how big it actually is. I thought that I was already at some other champagne house when there was a sign for Moët and Chandon and I thought that I have walked a fair distance away from the main entrance. Walking along the Avenue de Champagne, feels like walking along a rich neighborhood. The houses are beautiful and nice but they also have tall fences. This probably adds to the feeling of exclusivity of this place.
